This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) supplements our Terms of Service. By using Chlor you agree not to do any of the following.
1. No spam or unsolicited communications
- Do not use Chlor to send SMS or email to recipients who have not consented to receive messages from your business, in breach of the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
- Always include accurate sender identification and a working opt-out (such as
Reply STOP) in marketing messages. Honour opt-out requests within 5 business days. - Do not use Chlor for political, religious, gambling, adult or unrelated bulk-marketing campaigns.
2. No abuse of the platform
- Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape or otherwise extract source code, models or non-public data from Chlor.
- Do not probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service without our written permission. Responsible-disclosure reports to support@chlor.app are welcome.
- Do not bypass rate limits, plan limits, billing or authentication controls, or share API keys publicly.
- Do not use automated tools to create accounts, generate fake customers, water tests or invoices, or to inflate usage.
3. No unlawful or harmful content
- Do not upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringes intellectual property rights, breaches privacy, or contains malware.
- Do not store sensitive personal information beyond what is needed to provide pool services (for example, no government identification numbers, no credit-card details, no health records).
- Do not use Chlor to harass, threaten, discriminate against or impersonate any person.
4. Respect for system integrity
- Do not interfere with or disrupt the Service, our infrastructure or any third-party service we depend on (Supabase, Paddle, Twilio, Resend, Vercel, Google Maps).
- Do not introduce viruses, worms, time bombs or other destructive code.
- Do not knowingly transmit data that places excessive load on the Service (for example, looping API calls, oversized photo uploads).
5. Accuracy of customer data
- You must have a lawful basis (consent, contract or another basis under the Australian Privacy Principles) to upload your customers’ personal information into Chlor.
- Keep customer records accurate and up-to-date and remove records you no longer need.
6. Reporting abuse
If you believe another user is breaching this AUP, or if your own account has been compromised, please email support@chlor.app with as much detail as you can share.
7. Enforcement
Breach of this AUP may result in a warning, throttling, removal of offending content, suspension of SMS or API features, or termination of your account under the Terms of Service. For serious or repeat breaches we may report the matter to the relevant regulator or law-enforcement agency.
